One thing about GW is that for the most part they make very nice models. I certainly think their Skarbrand is a great Bloodthirster model really capturing the essence of Khorne.
This week's White Dwarf has some pictures showcasing the model.
Yes there are skulls but is that really surprising?
I think the wings are really spectacular...though I question their utility.

Remember the fluff Pete. Scarbrands wings where destroyed by Khorne when Tzeentch tricked Scarbrand to attack Khorne, and now Scarbrand cannot fly. So no utility required.

Horrible model. All kinds of ugly, nowhere near as good as the End Times bloodthirster IMO.

DeleteI agree totally, despite their many faults GW do make some fantastic miniatures. Their pricing however has gone from expensive with incessant price creep to just absurd now.
ReplyDeleteDespite having no interest in AoS I might have bought the odd GW mini in the range for use in oldhammer or other systems but at their new pricing level? No chance.
