The Warhammer 40k rankings have been updated for Call to Arms.
The event's winner, Glen Burfield just squeezes into the Top 20 of the rankings. It capped off a good weekend for Glen who also won Best Presented Army for his Eldar Iyanden.
No mix up in sports scoring on the day Pete. Post event i was contacted by Brendan who had won the event on overall points to ask if he could amend the sports points he had awarded Glen in the final round. This very sporting gesture by Brendan meant he would cede the event to Glen. I contacted Glen to see if he was happy to accept this generous offer. Glen was happy to accept, and as it didn't affect any other positions in the final results I made the revision when I sent out the results sheet to the players. I added a note re the amendment to the players when I contacted them so that they were aware of the situation.
Brendan won the event but there was a discussion around different interpretations of the sportsmanship scores. As a result Brendan contacted the TO and adjusted his score and as a result handed 1st place to Glen as the pair were only separated by 0.3 of a point.

Brendan's Death Korp of Krieg won it. Glen came second but won Best Presentation.
ReplyDeleteI understand the result was amended post-event. There was a mixup in Sports scores I gather.
