It was 50 people in total? Its so strange how fields, which is one of the best events we have, gets fewer and fewer people every time. Lazy Aucklanders :P
I think the support from Auckland was strong (in relation to the rest of the country).
The real drop off was from the Wellington community. In part this is because other than Call to Arms there has been no 40k events in Wellington since Fields 2010. The tournament cabal has seemingly gone underground. Prior to 2011 I was organising 3 events per year but last year none and this year only Fields. So probably a consequence of that.
It would be nice to see those Welly players interested look to organise future events as they do tend to create a snowball effect.
Yeah Nikola, I think there were maybe 10-12 Aucklanders at best, pretty poor effort, considering the tournament is so far ahead of every event I've ever been to in terms of quality and vibe.
I would have liked to have attended (from Greymouth) but it was just a bit close to Natcon to justify the expense of another trip to the north island to my wife :P
